Creating a Login or play Anonymously

You may sign-in with Google, Apple, or you may register with an email address and create a password. Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain an upper case and lower case letter, a symbol, and a number.

You may also select to play Anonymously as a guest.

Tap the Games icon to kick things off! A list of suggested opponents will pop up—just pick one and tap their name. You'll see a list of languages you both share.

Customize Your Game: Uncheck any language you don’t want to use for this match. (You only need one common language to play, but feel free to mix it up!)

Invite Friends to Play
Want to challenge someone new? Tap the Friends icon at the bottom of your screen.

Don’t see who you’re looking for? Tap All Friends at the top.
Tap Invite, choose how to contact them, and send the invite.
Once your friend creates an account, you’re ready to play—let the fun begin!

Solo Play Anytime
Prefer a quick match? Choose Solo Play on the Games Page to challenge Linguicity directly. It’s fast, fun, and perfect for sharpening your skills!

How to play

Dive Into the Multilingual Action of Linguicity®!

Your Starting Hand
Every player kicks off with 7 tiles, drawn from the rich mix of characters in the languages you’ve selected—yes, even those special ones like ñ, ö, and ä! Ready to see what words you can craft?

Your Turn, Your Score
When it’s your move, your name and current score will be front and center—highlighted in white. Time to shine!

The Language of Play (LoP)
The LoP is your guide and is important to pay attention to. It is displayed and highlighted at the top-right corner of your screen. The other available languages for that game are listed but are not highlighted. Your word has to be played in the highlighted LoP. In the example below: Italian (IT), French (FR), Spanish (ES), and English (EN) are available. The highlighted LoP is Spanish (ES), therefore, your word must be in Spanish.

Strategic Scoring

Each tile has its own point value, added up for every word you play (horizontally and vertically).
Bonus squares are your best friend—aim for Double Letter (DL), Triple Letter (TL), Double Word (DW), or the ultimate, Triple Word (TW).
The first word played in the game must cross the star square in the center.

Change Language (CL) Squares: The Game-Changer
Here’s where Linguicity gets thrilling! If your word lands on or crosses a CL square, you get to shake things up: choose a new language (from the agreed set) for your opponent to use on their next turn. Time to outwit and outplay!

Power Moves & LoP Rules
The LoP remains in play until:
a) A CL square shifts the language.
b) A player uses a CL Power-Up to change the language (before their turn, without losing a move).

Strategic Moves in Action
It’s Player #2’s turn, and the LoP is Spanish—time to get creative! If you’ve got special tiles like ñ, ö, or ü, why not steer the game in your favor? You can switch the LoP to match your tiles by either:

Playing a word across a CL square
Using a Change Language Power-Up at the start of your turn (check out the Power-Ups section below for tips!)

Build and Transform
Words already on the board are fair game for creating new ones in the current LoP. For example, if “play” was played in English, you could spice things up in Spanish by adding an “a” to form “playa.” Talk about making waves—literally!

Power Ups

Supercharge Your Game with Power-Ups!

Get ready to level up your gameplay with two powerful tools:
Change Language+: Switch the Language of Play (LoP) before you make your move—perfect for unleashing those special character tiles!

Swap+: Refresh your tile tray by swapping out your tiles without losing your turn. Talk about a game-saver!

How to Use Power-Ups

Tap the Power icon in the bottom-left corner of the game page.
A pop-up will show your Power-Up options. Just tap the one you need, and you’re good to go!
Use Power-Ups or swaps at the start of any turn, but remember—you can only use each once per turn.

Want to see how many coins, Change Language+, and Swap+ options you’ve got? Head to the Store (bottom-right corner of the main page).

Play More, Earn More: The more you play, the more coins you’ll collect!

Levels

Levels are determined by the total word points that you have played.

Each group of 10 levels require incrementally higher total points to attain. That is, each level from 1-10 are attained for every 100 points played (total in all games). Levels 11-20 require 110 points to move to the next level. Levels 21-30 require 120 points to move to the next level and so on.

Levels are re-set to 1 on the first of each month. Your historic highest level will be shown on your profile page. Each month you will have the opportunity to break your own personal record! The more games that you play the more opportunity you will have to reach higher levels.

Coins

Coins can be earned during game play or may be bought in the Linguicity Store within the app.

Don’t like the current LoP (language of play)? Then use one of your Power Ups (Change Language+) to change the LoP to the language that you would like before you play your word(s).

Need different character tiles? Use the Swap+ Power Up to swap out your tiles at the beginning of your turn — without losing your turn!

Periodically, we may send out Coupon Codes. To redeem the Coupon Codes simply go to the redeem tab above, login, and redeem your coupon code.

Tile-sets

Choice of Tile-sets are earned when certain Levels are achieved. Reach Level 60 and unlock 5 new tile-sets. Reach Level 100 and unlock 5 more tile-sets.
