The Linguicity twist

One square changes the next move.

Every turn has one Language of Play. Watch the board, build your word, and decide when changing the language gives you the edge.

  1. 1. Follow the Language of Play

The highlighted language tells you which dictionary applies to your turn.

  2. 2. Build your word

Use familiar letters and language-specific characters to score across the board.

  3. 3. Cross a Change Language square

Choose the Language of Play for the next turn and change your opponent's strategy.

When an accepted move crosses a Change Language square, you choose from the languages in that game. Your choice becomes the Language of Play for the next turn.

Keep your languages in play

More than recalling a word

Every turn gives you a reason to use a particular language: look at the board, think in that language, and put what you know into play. A Change Language square can make another language part of the next turn.

It is not a course and it does not measure fluency. It is a place for the languages you know, are learning, or want to reconnect with to become part of play—whether they connect you with family, remind you of a place, or deserve a little more room in everyday life.

Play your way
